The flower stamps issued this spring are illustrated by artist Minna Immonen. Immonen’s watercolour technique highlights the brightness and delicate nature of the flowers. The original paintings are A3 size.
Minna Immonen’s illustrations often feature flowers and floral arrangements. Her reasons for this are clear: "I find flowers fascinating, because they are so wonderful! With flowers we celebrate, comfort, delight, amaze, enchant and congratulate. The best thing about flower paintings made with watercolours is the interplay of light and shadow," says Immonen.
