Terms of service
Terms for distance sales of postage stamps and related products
- Extent and validity
These conditions apply to Åland Post Ltd’s (Åland Post) sale of postage stamps and related products via distance agreement to the consumer (customer), unless otherwise agreed in writing between the customer and Åland Post. Distance sales primarily take place in Åland Post's Internet shop alandstamps.com (webshop) but can also take place via telephone, letter, e-mail, chat, or similar means of remote communication.
The terms apply until further notice as of 1 November 2022. The terms and conditions apply in the version as it appears at the time of ordering.
Åland Post has the right to change these terms and conditions, in which case the change will be announced on Åland Post's website.
Orders are primarily placed in the webshop, but can also be placed by phone, e-mail, chat, or letter.
A binding purchase agreement only comes into existence when Åland Post has accepted your order, i.e., the customer's order. We accept your order by sending an automatic order confirmation to the e-mail address specified when ordering. All information concerning products, price, payment method and delivery address appears from the confirmation.
Åland Post has the right to cancel the order if the price for the order is clearly incorrect. Clearly incorrect price refers to a possible misprint in the price list or other technical error due to which the price of the product differs significantly and clearly from the correct price of the product.
3.1 Applicable price
The applicable price is the price stated in the webshop in conjunction with the presented postage stamp product on the day of the order.
All prices in the webshop are stated in euro (€), excluding VAT.
Åland Post reserves the right to adjust prices in relation to changes in exchange rates, taxes, fees or similar. Prices are adjusted immediately when Åland Post deems it justified.
3.2 Shipping cost
The shipping cost for your webshop order varies depending on which recipient country (delivery address) you have specified in your order. Åland Post's prices for shipping are listed in the webshop.
Åland Post reserves the right to adjust prices for shipping in relation to changes in exchange rates, taxes, fees or similar. Prices are adjusted immediately when Åland Post deems it justified.

On deliveries to Finland and Norway, Åland Post collects VAT according to current Finnish VAT legislation. VAT is added to the invoice total.
