Åland Post has received an award in the international “World’s Best Stamp Competition 2025”. In the “Best Mixed Printing Stamp” category, our 2025 Christmas stamp, created by artist Jonas Wilén, won third prize.
The competition attracted entries from 66 countries, with a total of 195 postage stamps across five categories. The judging was carried out by an international jury of philatelists, designers and academics from nine countries.
2025 Christmas stamp on the theme “Together”
Our stamp was praised by the jury for its originality, elegance and philatelic significance. It was issued on 23 October 2025 on the theme Together. The design captures the joy of sharing an experience with someone else.
The stamp is printed in four-colour offset with silver foiling, giving the issue a distinctive sheen.

An international stamp competition
World’s Best Stamp Competition was organised with the support of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the Philatelic Federation of South Africa and the World Association for the Development of Philately.
