On 25 February, the first 2026 episode of the podcast “Frimärken och filateli” with Mats Rosberg was released. This year he introduces a new feature, “Stamp in Focus”, where you are invited behind the scenes of our new stamp issues.
Under the heading Stamp in Focus, you will meet some of our artists as they talk about the work behind their motifs from initial idea to finished stamp. Four episodes will be published during the year. In each episode, you will get to know one of this year’s stamp designers and hear how their Åland motif has taken shape.
In the premiere episode, Mats speaks with Åland photographer Kjell Söderlund about the three-year stamp series featuring Åland boathouses, which concludes this year. The final two boathouses were issued on 4 February. Listen as Kjell shares the story behind the images and explains how he captured the character of the boathouses in the small stamp format.
